The Toronto-based 7Sould merges history, heritage and modern sounds in a way that has never been heard before.
Led by co-founders Joaquin Nunez Hidalgo (Musical Director and drums-percussion) and Mark Daniels (congas, percussion and Executive Producer), 7Sould’s original Canadian music comes to life through the talents of a diverse array of 12 musicians with roots in Cuba, Jamaica, Korea, Philippines, Poland, India, Quebec and Armenia. The musicians all come from different parts of the world and represent a wide array of cultural backgrounds and they fuse that to create a sound and experience that truly reflects the culturally diverse ethnic mosaic of Toronto.
Their much-anticipated debut album, Home to You was released in late July and is currently tracking in the top 10 on the charts across Canada. 7Sould presented “Underneath”, a musical and theatrical multi-dimensional show that debuted on the main stage of the Beaches Jazz Festival in July 2016.
7Sould presents Underneath
Debuted at the Beaches Jazz Festival July 15th at 9:30 PM
The world of Underneath comes together through a diverse array of musicians, dancers and acrobats on stage backed up by a combination of high tech lighting and LED visuals.
This musical concert follows a young musician who leaves his small town and moves to the big city to fulfill his dreams, where he meets the love of his life. When things don’t go according to plan his life spirals out of control and all he’s left with is, his music and guitar. With spectacular visuals and superb talent, this universal story brings 7sould’s musical story to life.
